"The flight from London to Istanbul was okay to good From Istanbul to London it was very poor.
There was a half hour delay.Worse was the couldn't care less attitude of the flight staff. They did not wear name badges so could not be identified!There was a mix up with someone else who ahdn't bothered to check in on line taking my seat so she could be with her teenage son. I was travelling with a companion.We had taken the trouble to make sure we would be seating together and had checked in on line and booked seats together. We asked 2 flight attendants for help but they ignored us and left us to make our own arragements!! As far as I am concerned they should have tried to sort out the problem and satisfy both parties if at all possible and at very least apologise for the mix up -but they did not engage. I thought it was H&S obligation to ensure that passengers on the manifest are checked against their seat numbers. Having been forced to seat in the middle of the plane I then found one of the options on the menu ran out by the time they got to my row- I therefore went without a meal- which appeared to be of indifferent quality-judging from the reaction of my neighbours.
It was a very poor way to end what had otherwise been a very pleasant holiday.I will certainly not travel Turkish Airlines again.

"CheckIn: Again the London end was fine. There were celarly marked check in terminals and helpful staff.
At Istanbul end they did not appear to be any check in machines/luggage drop off points for people who had already checked in on line.it was an extremely beauracratic process with long queues of mixed passengers at each stage and a lot of queue jumping due to passengers being at risk of missing their flight.! We had to go through Security twice-once before check in and then after and countless scrutinies of our tickets/passport. This process needs urgent reviewing/overhauling.

"Price is an issue for me, but I always check to see if Turkish Airlines has the most competetive price, and am disappointed when I find I have to use an alternative airline. And the meals are excellent."
